Public districts carry a standard that a general charter operator is not set up to meet. Every driver we put in front of students is licensed, DOT certified, background-checked, and carries a clean driving record. Every bus runs a fixed inspection and maintenance schedule, with color-coded seat belts and onboard DriveCam audio-visual recording as standard equipment.
We can take on full daily route contracts, or step in for the routes you cannot cover. Districts most often bring us in for one of three reasons: a driver shortage that leaves routes uncovered, enrollment growth that outpaced the fleet, or a stretch of the district where in-house service is not economical to run.
The districts we cover
Our service area spans four public school systems across two states.
In Florida, each county forms a single school district, so coverage is county-wide:
- Leon County Schools, covering Tallahassee and the rest of Leon County
- Bay District Schools, covering Panama City, Panama City Beach, Lynn Haven, and the rest of Bay County
Georgia separates city and county systems, so the Valdosta area has two:
- Valdosta City Schools, inside the Valdosta city limits
- Lowndes County Schools, covering the county outside those limits
Valdosta City and Lowndes County run separate boards and separate transportation departments, so we plan and quote them as two distinct contracts rather than one Valdosta arrangement.
What a district contract covers
Route planning against your bell schedule, daily AM and PM coverage, and a maintained fleet sized to the routes. Pricing is quoted all-in for the term, so the transportation line in your budget does not move mid-year.
Getting started
Send us your route list and bell times and we will come back with a written proposal, which vehicles, how many drivers, and what it costs for the term. There is no charge for the assessment.
Common questions
Can you cover only part of our routes?
Yes. Partial coverage is one of the most common ways districts work with us, you keep the routes you can staff and we take the ones you cannot.
Are your drivers background-checked to district standards?
Every driver is licensed, DOT certified, and background-checked before they carry students. We are happy to provide documentation as part of the procurement process.
How far in advance do we need to commit?
Earlier is better for a full-year contract, since driver hiring and vehicle assignment run ahead of the school year. Mid-year and emergency coverage is possible depending on fleet availability, call and ask.
