Top 6 Tallahassee Photographers

Photography has become a staple in modern culture and a binding force that helps bring a diverse world a little closer together. With the rise of social media, we provide others with a peek into our lives and experiences mostly through pictures.

California journalist Fred Barnard coined the phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words,” and we feel he couldn’t be more right. Images allow us to save our favorite experiences and moments in time forever, so we want them to be of the highest quality. We understand that finding the right photographer for your event can be extremely stressful, so we’ve scoured Tallahassee to locate the best photographers in the area to make things a little easier. Talent, creativity, and professionalism are no strangers to our top 6 favorite Tallahassee photographers.

3. Wade Bishop Photography

Tallahassee, FL

Wade Bishop

Naples, FL native, Wade Bishop, bought his first camera from a garage sale when he was a teenager and was instantly hooked. He quickly learned that his love for the visual medium spread into film and video and led him to earn his Associated Degree with a concentration in film and photography in Tallahassee. After college, the Hollywood hills lured him to the west coast where he worked in film and the special effects prop making industry. Wade eventually came back to Tallahassee and worked in news, television production, independent and student films, and photography.

In the last 20 years, he has worked on just about any title on a production; whether it be a wedding photographer to Hollywood movies and just about everything in between. Simply saying he’s well rounded would be an understatement. Wade loves working in the moving picture world and finds that photography sometimes can be more challenging. “For film, you can move the camera to allow more freedom of story telling. In photography, you’re challenged to tell the story in a single image. I like that challenge.”
